I signed up for GGA Hymns in Jan 2026. The course is supposed to begin in Mar. Today is Mar 1 but I have not received the material. Has it been released yet? If so, when can I expect to receive it?

@T-Bone I'm sorry to point out the obvious, but the slider graphic directly above answers your question: March 5, this coming Thursday, Steve should be sending out the lesson material for the first hymn. All the best.

There is also a nice VIDEO for Hymns (GGA-H4) under "Events". Steve describes what is included and these Academies certainly deliver. Lots to learn for many playing levels.

The Guitar Gathering Academy hymns course is great!

I receive a weekly email with an attached PDF and a link to the lesson posted on YouTube.

Am I correct in assuming the video lessons are not provided to us as they are for other courses available for purchase from Guitar Gathering?

I would like to have a copy of the video lessons that I can reference as I continue working through the songs after the course is complete. I can download them from YouTube by subscribing to YouTube Premium. Is that the best way to do it, or is there another method used by the community?

Hi T-Bone.   Glad you have enjoyed participating in the Hymns Academy.   I did as well!    I have taken part in several of the academies over the years, and have archived the emails that contain the link to the video lesson.    I've never tried to download the lesson video itself from Youtube - I think you have to have the premium subscription for that.  For the most part, the links have remained active and I have been able to access the lesson if I needed to refresh my memory for a past lesson.   If for some reason a link doesn't work, I believe you can send Steve and email and he can provide the lesson to you.

How's it going T-Bone ?  You can't go wrong following Gary's lead. The Academy lessons present a lot to learn in a short period of time and it sure goes by fast . I reference back frequently, enjoy your musical learning !
