Another guitarist is auctioning off guitars from his collection.  We all think of Geddy Lee as the bassist for Rush but apparently, at least according to this article, he has a stash of 300+ electric guitars.  He is putting up 6 of what this article from Guitar World calls "drool worthy" guitars.

Geddy Lee to auction off 6 drool-worthy vintage guitars, including his '59 Les Paul

The six he is putting up for auction include:

  • 59 Strat
  • 60 Gibson ES 345
  • 60 Gibson ES 335
  • 65 Gibson ES 335
  • 67 Gibson Flying V

And!  Drum roll please:

  • 59 Gibson Les Paul

If recent auctions are any indication, most of these should go for obscene prices.

Every one, please show forum etiquette and courtesy.  @NeilES335 is no doubt going after the 1960 ES 335 so please don't bid against him!🤣

Yes.  I just thought the gold hardware on the 60 was going to make it irresistible to you-know-who😉

At $7,000 for an original ES345 with PAF's and tuners, wiring and is good shape with this provenance, it's a tempting buy.. (I just have to remember it''s in USD...ouch) I've seen them sell at $20-30K

And  I am thinking similarly about the '55 Strat at $5,500.
