Last year I stayed at the Hilton Brentwood Nashville Suites when I went to the Gathering, a very nice hotel but the dining offerings around it were a bit lacking. Does anyone have a suggestion for a comparable hotel in the Brentwood-Franklin area? I would like to book soon. Or does anyone have recommendations for nice dining options in the Brentwood area should I rebook there?

Greg,

You might try something just one exit up at I-65 and Old Hickory Blvd.  There are a lot of restaurants in that area.  There is a Holiday in Express, Hampton Inn, Four Points by Sheraton and others.

Thanks Steve. I have decided to book lodging at the Hilton Garden Inn in Franklin, a bit further to travel to The Gathering but very close to Artisan's Guitars.:D

I'm not quite sure that it can be more dangerous than what I'm thinking.

Greg, That was a nice area last year.  I think we stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn.  It was nice and they had free breakfast (pre-cooked in packages to be re-heated).  Thought I might look at other options that had a better breakfast this time.  It would be nice to have groups to car pool with.  Has anyone else found one they liked?

Greg,  We are going to stay at the Hampton Inn on South Springs Dr. this time.  They usually have a better breakfast although the Home2 Suites was a nice place as well.  None of them are cheap.  If I was alone I would just probably get one of those dorm rooms if they were available and avoid the drive every day.  I might go with you to check out Artisan's (just to look, LOL) since it is in our area as is the Guitar Center.  George

I just registered and am also looking for recommendations of where to stay.  My "war department" will be along and she is looking forward to the trip.  Driving to Nashville from NE Texas.  Thanks for any info.

I prefer to stay south of Nashville - usually in Franklin or Brentwood, just off I-65. There are many choices of hotels and restaurants.

Let me know if you end up in the area, carpooling is definitely a good option.

I booked at a hotel down the Murfeesboro Pike road, in the area of 40 and 24. Somewhat affordable and less than 2 miles from the Gathering.

Has anyone stayed in any of the campgrounds in the area for Guitar Gatherings in the past? If so, are there any which you would recommend?
