Hi, gotta question for owners of that instrument.  Is it possible to put a sound hole pickup in those?  I'm thinking about getting a mini hog after a certain phase of study but it hinges on putting an M1a or a mag-mic in it.  I don't want the one that Taylor makes to slide into the hole.  I've heard left handed players complain that it's not adjustable and suitable for lefties.  I tried one of those little guys and was surprised how easy they were to play.  What are your thoughts on this little dude?

I love the guitar but can't answer your questions about a pickup.  Blue Dog knows a good deal about electrifying acoustics so he might be able to help there.

I know I really was jonesing for a Mini-GS but realized it was too nice for my use.  In my case I needed a low cost small guitar I could travel with and use on the boat with now worries and ended up choosing a Martin LXM.

Get a GS Mini With the Taylor pick up system all ready in it. they are top rated. In hole pick ups over time messes up the sound hole. I install LR Baggs under saddles in all of mine . If the guitar sounds great i use the one with mic and pick up . If sounds ok i use just the under saddle pick up . But small guitars with small sound holes the hole pickups are a little to big for the hole. . Good Luck.

P.s I played one at Sam ash loved it went back to get it it was gone . it was Built in electric

I have one of the early GS Mini  guitars which didn't have a pickup. I added the ES-Go pickup, and I do not recommend it because of hum. I don't know why a left handed player would have a problem with this. The sound-hole is smaller so some pickups made for larger guitars will not fit. A luthier can put a whole bunch of pickups in the guitar, but I agree with Blue Dog to buy the electric version. The GS Mini is good for strumming in first position, but if you want to play all over the neck it can be challenging because things get tight on the higher frets.

I found out that the GS mini doesn't come with electronics in LH mahogany so I asked the music store guy about it and ended up trading my dusty electric MM1 copy and bag for LH GS mini-HOG, says he can put what Martin is putting in their Road Series Fishman under saddle-pre-amped systems which is probably better, so I'm pretty happy about that. I'll get it in about a week. (Not so happy about that.)

I pulled the B Band preamp from my guitar and put in a Fishman,  but wish I put in an LR Baggs.

The Fishman should do you ok
