I bought a new 2016 LE Les Paul Standard mahogany top. It's a whole new experience playing a guitar like this for me. Sounds amazing. Having a great guitar and getting to know it. Got a nice setup so plays real good. Feeling groovy.

Congrats! I don't follow Gibson too closely but I have not seen a mahogany top LP before. Looks beautiful!

Man thanks everyone. I took the picture outside and the glare makes seem a  little worn in the photo , but it's not. The pick ups sound full and rich to me in the complete mahogany guitar. Having a great time so far.

The original 1955 Les Paul Custom was all mahogany body .

Then they added a maple cap to brighten the sound a bit and the "famous" flame tops for 1959

I love Led Paul. 

Take a tip from Joe Bonamassa..  set volume and tones 5-6 then set up the amp volume and tone .

That way you can "dial" from the guitar
