This is a cover by a brilliant and extraordinarily talented young crew, of an equally extraordinarily and talented Jazz Fusion trio, UZEB. I was so fortunate to grow up in Montreal at a time when there was an absolutely incredible Jazz and Blues scene going. I saw UZEB a few times live at the local Jazz club, and it was mind blowing and life altering for a young kid who loved guitar and guitar music. And UZEB were light years ahead of their time when they burst onto the scene in the late 70s. I saw them towards the end of their run in the early 90s. Just amazing stuff.

Yes, sir! I grew up in Cote St. Luc.

The Jazz/Blues scene back then was insane. Every weekend you could find places with jam nights and cut your teeth with some of Montreal's best. It was crazy. I used to jam with this guy, Jimmy James, who now headlines blues night at the International Jazz Festival every summer in Montreal. They call him a "legend" now, LOL. It was very cool.
