Apparently heat exhaustion and he is going to be ok. 

Still, I am playing only my PRS Santana today hoping that will send some good vibes!😉

And how does one go with out eating or drinking and pass out of dehydration with the number of Carter's he'd have on tour,  and drink/food riders in each concert

phone added a R to my Caterer and dropped the other er.

They would have a Caterer available

A Food Rider.

all touring acts that have booked events such that Santana would be playing at would have a Food rider.

"the venue will provide back stage: 2 cases of water, 1 case of domestic beer,  2 cases of imported beer such as XYZ beer of musicians choice, two 40oz of XYZ alcohol, 6 bottles of red merlot, 6 chilled bottles of white Chardonnay , They will provide Salads for 20 people , plus assorted sandwiches for 20 people "

etc.. all touring acts have venue riders.

Carlos statement said he did not eat or drink anything hence he dehydrated and passed out.

I wish him well and recovery but at the same time I call it irresponsible

Carlos Santana Cancels 6 Concerts As He Continues to Recover

 

"The Santana concerts through July 16 have been postponed. Live Nation will announce the rescheduled dates. “Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon. He just needs rest,” said his manager, Michael Vrionis, in the July 8 announcement. “Santana profoundly regrets these postponements of his upcoming performances; but his health is our number one concern. He is looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon.”
