  2. I'm starting session and I'm working on getting my Guitar Pro files setup. I noticed that on the Treble Cleft that the Key Signature is marked as F#, where I've always seen one # on the Treble Cleft naming it as G. Why does the book mark it as F#? Is it because all F notes are actually played as F#?
  3. I've had locking tuners on a previous guitar, and am putting them on my current guitar. It's just less tedious to change the strings out, and I've noticed that the rotation tends to be better than stock tuners. Both guitars are Epiphone's though.
  4. I'm spending another week in Session 3 to get more comfortable with the new string. I created a Guitar Pro file that contains all of the exercises from the lesson book and bonus into one file other than the songs. All 3/4 timing songs are at the end, so there isn't confusing of swapping between time signatures. Session 3 - Exercises.gp
  5. I remember seeing the Fretlight guitars. I thought they were cool initially, but then I figured that I'd end up looking more at my fingers when playing more than anything else. So, I just stayed away from that one. Nice to see another Guitar Pro user on here. I also have Presonus Progression (pre-version of Notion) that I can use with my Tripleplay on guitar to record midi into my computer. So, I can see how I'm playing and also record music notation with just playing the guitar rather than having to manually insert notes. That's one feature I wish GP would put into it's software.

    Why Do You Play?

I started playing, because one of the teens in my youth group wanted to learn to play. So, we started having a portion of time set aside for everyone to pick up an instrument to learn it. We had guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. One of the teens plays for a worship and praise team now doing bass. I'm still progressing and learning. Rocksmith and Bandfuse allowed me to learn in an interactive way, and helped to make it fun for the teens. Now I'm learning with L&M Guitar to help learn how to read sheet music and more fundamentals. I play now, because I just enjoy playing the guitar. I might play with the worship team at times on Bass, and a little guitar. For the most part, I keep to playing at home for the enjoyment of it.
  7. Yeah, I can see the comment area now as well.
  8. I'm still not seeing the ability to comment, but I do see Steve's comment. I recorded a video so, you can see what I see.
  9. Is there an area on there to submit a "bug". I read Steve's article about Why people play, and at the end he said to comment on below on why you play. The option to comment it disabled. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the article having comments disabled, or if Articles by default aren't allowed to have comments.

  11. @NeilES335 Thank you for the info. I started off playing guitar using Rocksmith (original version (2012) and updated to use the 2014 version. I also have Bandfuse as well. Bandfuse helped with learning to sight read tab to a degree. Some Chord tabs are hard to read depending on the speed of the song. So, I've been playing guitar albeit choppy for a little while now. I'm going through the L&M guitar course primarily to help better learn fundamentals and reading of sheet music. I just finished Session 2 today and am going to start on session 3. I have a Google Calendar setup for myself to help me keep track of my progress. I'm a little familiar with the Circle of Fifths already, since I've designed a CMS for my Church that allows transposing of Chords and song signature Keys. The Circle of Fifths came in handy when we had to transpose songs down for the singers. I just have some holes in areas, so I'm looking for the L&M course to help fill some of those holes. Then once I'm done with the course maybe dive deeper into a music theory course.
  12. @NeilES335 At what lesson would the Circle of Fifths apply to?
