  1. Just reading this made me miss everyone a little bit more than usual. What a wonderful time was had. Steve and Paulette put together an amazing event. I learned so much. Some new friendships were made and others reinforced. Looking forward to next gathering

  2. hmm had to look this up @ChristopherArt @DianeB remember that Giuliani Studies is a finger style , so you don't play chords in the same way as you would strum them (sometimes). As per the Pg60 (see attached picture) the Chord Name like C and G7 is above the staff.. notice there is a Staff line with notes, and below that is a TAB line with how to finger them but what I see it's a walking bass line in the TAB finger the C chord as normal.. ring finger is on the 5th string 3rd fret, the middle finger is on the 4th string 2nd fret and the index is on the 2nd string 1st fret (so C, E, C) the G and the High E are open in Lesson 1 you are just playing 3 notes of a 5 string chord, hence its 3-1-0, 2-1-0, 0-1-0, 3-1-0 for each of the beats. in Lesson 2 you are using 1 note for each finger to pick.. so in Lesson 2 each beat will feel like a triplet

  3. @ChristopherArt It's not a typo, Christopher. In that G7 shape the D (the fifth of the chord) is doubled on beat 2; this is evident in the staff notation. You will often see the D doubled in G major in the open position as 320033. The Guiliani studies provide training for movements and shapes that are rarely encounter in simple strumming.

  4. Carlos Santana collapses on stage. Apparently heat exhaustion and he is going to be ok. Still, I am playing only my PRS Santana today hoping that will send some good vibes!😉
